A Quiet New Year’s Eve (& Good Riddance to 2020)

It’s a quiet New Year’s Eve for us tonight as I am sure it is for most people. COVID restrictions have made it difficult to ‘party like it’s 1999’ and let’s face it, most of us are pretty done with 2020 and have mixed emotions about celebrating anything to do with it.

Our wild evening consists of some wings and chips with chili con queso, along with our ‘house wine’, Cupcake Moscato. Attire is pajama pants with a mismatched t shirt.

I’ll be on the computer tonight, and hubby with be playing video games online with his dad and our future son-in-law. I am not even going to bother turning on the tv for midnight because due to satellite delays we were about two minutes behind the rest of the world at midnight last year and it just felt silly. The neighbors and their fireworks and gunfire will let me know what time it is.

I am just looking forward to waking up tomorrow morning believing we have a fresh start and that things will be better in the New Year. I think everyone is hoping the same for 2021.
